Working from the steep, schist-lined terraces of the Douro, Luis Seabra has become one of the region’s most thoughtful modern voices, focused on freshness, precision, and a clear expression of place. “Xisto Ilimitado” reflects this approach — a wine built not on weight, but on energy and mineral detail.
Sourced from higher-altitude vineyards, the fruit is harvested by hand and fermented with native yeasts, with a portion aged in used oak to add texture without masking the wine’s natural character. The emphasis is on restraint and clarity, allowing the schist soils to define the wine.
Bright and finely etched, it shows notes of citrus peel, green apple, and white peach, with a subtle herbal lift. The palate is crisp and linear, driven by vibrant acidity and a distinct mineral edge that carries through a clean, persistent finish. A natural match for grilled fish, shellfish, or simple vegetable dishes.
