Grapes: 100% Garnacha (Grenache)
At the foot of the Sierra de Gredos mountains, Bernabeleva crafts soulful Garnacha from high-altitude vineyards scattered among pines and wild herbs. The estate’s name means “Path of the Bear,” a nod to local legend — and its wines reflect the same wild grace: delicate, pure, and quietly powerful. Camino de Navaherreros is their signature bottling, a window into the spirit of Gredos and the magic of mountain Garnacha.
The fruit comes from old bush vines, fermented with native yeasts and aged in a mix of large neutral foudres and concrete vats. No heavy extraction, no intrusive oak — just a transparent, luminous expression of this area.
Aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, and blood orange mingle with hints of crushed rock and mountain herbs. On the palate, it’s silken and lifted, balancing juicy fruit with fine tannins and a mineral edge. The finish lingers with freshness and gentle spice — a wine that feels effortless yet deeply rooted.
