Winemaker Eva Fricke has emerged as one of the Rheingau’s most distinctive voices—her approach focused on purity, texture and a strong sense of place. The “Mélange” 2022 blends parcels from varied soils and exposures, delivering a wine that’s complex yet transparent. With vintage 2022 marked by healthy ripeness and firm acidity, this cuvée expresses the region’s full spectrum—elegant, textured and alive.
Fermented in stainless steel using native and selected yeasts, then matured on fine lees for several months, the wine avoids oak influence and preserves site clarity. The result is Riesling built around tension and lift rather than overt richness.
Aromas of white peach, mirabelle plum and crushed quartz lead into hints of sea salt and citrus pith. The palate is bright yet layered—fresh orchard fruit meets mineral drive and a sleek, salty finish that lingers. A wine of nuance and balance, ready to enjoy now but destined for graceful evolution.
