Alan Manley’s Margherita Otto is a love letter to Barolo — a project born from patience, humility, and an almost monastic devotion to tradition. After years apprenticing under some of the Langhe’s most respected producers, Manley began bottling under his own label in Monforte d’Alba, blending fruit from three classic communes to create a Barolo of poise and quiet intensity.
The 2021 vintage reflects both purity and depth. Fermented with native yeasts and aged for over two years in large, neutral Slavonian oak, it channels the elegance of old-school Barolo without austerity. No barrique, no rush — just time, air, and precision.
In the glass, it opens with aromas of dried rose, red cherry, and anise, followed by forest floor, tar, and a hint of crushed stone. The palate is finely etched — powerful yet restrained — with luminous fruit, earthy complexity, and polished tannins that promise graceful aging. This is Barolo built for contemplation: soulful, transparent, and beautifully balanced.

- For returns of wines which are corked, please re-seal after tasting and return us the (nearly) full bottle. We cannot exchange if the bottle has been consumed.
