Pinhook was created with a unique question; what if instead of aiming to replicate the same exact product year after year, we embraced each barrel's natural variations to craft a unique whiskey every time, taking inspiration from how winemakers create annual vintages? Founded in 2011 by three friends, Pinhook started with a shared vision to bring a fresh take to bourbon. Driven by curiosity, they set out to tease the best qualities out of every barrel they would encounter, and build a whiskey around the results.
Carefully crafted from a high-rye mash bill, the 2023 release is barrel-aged for the right time — long enough to develop complexity, but short enough to preserve vibrancy. The result is a whiskey that balances punch with polish: lively grain forwardness meets subtle wood seasoning and clean finish.
Aromas of clove, fresh mint and baked apple greet the glass. On the palate, expect cherry-cinnamon spice, dark caramel and a thread of wintergreen, anchored by clean rye pepper and subtle oak tannin. The finish is energetic, layered and invites another sip. This rye is ready to drink now, yet offers enough depth for reflection.

- For returns of wines which are corked, please re-seal after tasting and return us the (nearly) full bottle. We cannot exchange if the bottle has been consumed.
