Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo
The name Bartolo Mascarello is synonymous with Barolo itself — an icon of craftsmanship, tradition, and integrity. Now guided by Bartolo’s daughter Maria Teresa, the estate remains steadfast in its old-world approach: no single vineyards, no shortcuts, no compromise. Each year, fruit from their revered parcels in Cannubi, San Lorenzo, Rué, and Rocche di La Morra is blended to create one Barolo — a pure reflection of terroir and time.
The 2021 vintage captures everything that defines this legendary house: balance, restraint, and quiet power. Fermented in concrete with native yeasts and aged for more than two years in large Slavonian oak, it’s a study in patience. There’s no new wood, no extraction — only grace shaped by tradition.
In the glass, it opens with layers of rose, wild strawberry, and sweet tobacco. The palate is luminous and finely structured, with red fruit, tea leaf, and subtle spice woven through fine, silken tannins. The finish is long, poised, and endlessly nuanced — a Barolo that whispers rather than shouts, built to evolve over decades.
