Founded in 1888 in the foothills of the Italian Alps, Bordiga is one of Piedmont's great traditional producers of vermouths, bitters and liqueurs. Based in Cuneo, the distillery has long drawn inspiration from the extraordinary variety of herbs growing in the surrounding mountains. Its Extra Dry Vermouth is a wonderful reminder that vermouth deserves a little more attention than simply playing second fiddle to gin.
Made from a wine base infused with a carefully balanced selection of botanicals, this is a distinctly Italian take on the classic dry vermouth. The emphasis is on freshness, delicate aromatics and just enough herbal bitterness to give the wine character without overwhelming it.
Citrus peel, white flowers and fresh herbs lead into gentle spice and a touch of bitter almond. There's a lovely crispness to the palate, with subtle savoury notes and a clean, dry finish that makes it particularly versatile behind the bar. Naturally, it makes a fabulous Martini, but we'd also recommend trying it well chilled over ice with a twist of lemon. Sometimes the simplest drinks are the best.

- For returns of wines which are corked, please re-seal after tasting and return us the (nearly) full bottle. We cannot exchange if the bottle has been consumed.
