Grapes: 41% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Noir, 26% Meunier
Founded in Reims in 1776, the Louis Roederer Champagne House has remained family-owned and independent for over 200 years.
Produced from grapes which come from, in equal amounts, the "La Riviere", "La Montagne" and "La Cote" vineyards, "Collection" consists of a base vintage, reserve wines aged in wood (sous bois) and wine from the "perpetual reserve", which has taken on the principles of the solera system since 2012.
Aged for nearly 4 years in the Roederer cellars, Collection 245 is a complex champagne that has reached great heights. Perfect with food, this champagne is endowed with obvious cellar-ageing potential. The maturity and balance of the 2020 vintage year, the freshness of the Perpetual Reserve and the complexity of the oak-aged Reserve wines result in an impressive density of fruit, releasing complex flavours of citrus and yellow fruit; pure, intense notes nuanced by a hint of smoke.
