“Poet’s Leap” is Long Shadows’ take on Riesling that celebrates both vibrancy and nuance. This wine captures the dual personality of Washington Riesling: lifted aromatics and lime-y edge up front, with a tactile, gently textured core that makes it feel complete rather than one-note.

Fermented slowly in stainless steel to preserve purity, the wine leans into its fruit and minerality without overt sweetness. On the nose, bright lemon zest, green apple, and jasmine come forward, followed by hints of wet slate and fresh herbs. The palate is crisp and focused — citrus and orchard fruit ride a backbone of electric acidity, while saline undertones and a gentle stony thread carry through to a long, refreshing finish.
