The 2021 “Paradise Block” is a quiet study in Rutherford Cabernet — concentrated, composed, and unmistakably from this hallowed stretch of Napa Valley. Grgich Hills continues to prove that power and polish can coexist when farming and patience take the lead.

Fermented with native yeasts and aged in French oak (around 60% new) for nearly two years, this wine carries both the generosity of the vintage and the restraint of thoughtful winemaking. Aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and dried sage open into graphite, cedar, and a subtle echo of cocoa. The palate is focused and textural — ripe dark fruit framed by fine-grained tannins and that signature “Rutherford dust” minerality through a long, dry finish.
