Grapes 100% Pinot Noir
In the heart of Beaune, Antoine Jobard continues the family’s legacy of thoughtful, terroir-driven winemaking. His “Les Épenottes” 2021 from the esteemed 1er Cru site reflects a vintage of restraint and depth — notable for its lower yields and concentrated focus.
Fruit was fermented with native yeasts and aged in large, seasoned oak barrels to preserve purity rather than push power. The result is a Pinot Noir built on elegance and clarity, where soil and site are front and center.
On the nose, you’ll encounter ripe cherry, dark berry, and subtle forest-floor spice. The palate shows bright fruit, fine-grained tannins and a saline seam that carries the finish long and cool. A wine of grace and promise — approachable now yet structured to reward cellar time.
