Grapes: 100% Chardonnay

Jean-Marc Roulot’s wines have come to define modern Meursault — luminous, mineral, and quietly exacting. The Clos des Bouchères is his crown jewel: a small, walled vineyard sitting mid-slope, tended with precision and bottled only when it meets the domaine’s exacting standards. His 2022 “Clos des Bouchères” is the estate’s hallmark parcel-bottling — a wine where soil, vine and vintage align with rare precision.

Gentle whole-cluster pressing, native-yeast fermentation and ageing in fine French oak (a modest fraction new) allow the site to speak with confidence, not shout with power. The result is a Chardonnay of rare poise: textured yet lithe, serious without being heavy.

On the nose: pear skin, green apple and lemon zest mingle with hazelnut, white flowers and a whisper of oyster shell. The palate is chiselled and layered — pure orchard fruit meets chalky minerality and subtle spice, carried by fresh acidity into a long saline finish. This is white Burgundy crafted for both now and later.
