A true ‘grower’ Champagne, Chartogne-Taillet is a family run house that is seen as one of the hottest in the Champagne region. A tiny estate, it is situated on a First World War battlefield, making ploughing risky still today.
The small Les Barres vineyard yields wines with textures that vary over time. At first, in their youth, the wines are rich, spherical, enveloping, almost sticky (reminiscent of grape skins from non-grafted plants). Over time, the structure becomes more refined and elongated, the saltiness appears, revealing a supple, creamy and ample wine.

We regret that the only products we can accept for return are faulty goods where we will provide a like-for-like replacement.
- To exchange we require the faulty product to be returned to the store.
- For returns of wines which are corked, please re-seal after tasting and return us the (nearly) full bottle. We cannot exchange if the bottle has been consumed.
- If the same product is not available, we will refund in full to the original form of payment.
- Any returns are at the customer’s expense.
