Grapes: 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot
Many of the iconic Cabernet Sauvignons dating from the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s were sourced from multiple, exceptional vineyard sites throughout Napa Valley. Brilliant in their youth, the best of these wines are still vibrant and pure fifty and more years later.
The 2021 vintage is a wine that layers intensity with lift, and classical structure with modern clarity. Fermentation is carried out in small lots, allowing each vineyard block to speak before blending. Aging in carefully selected French oak gives the wine texture and direction without overshadowing fruit or place. Everything here is guided by restraint and precision.
In the glass, the wine opens with deep aromatics of blackberry, cassis and plum skin, lifted by graphite, lavender and warm spice. The palate is poised and sculpted — dark fruit framed by fine tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long finish that carries notes of cedar and cool earth. A Napa Cabernet that feels both grounded and future-minded, built for long aging yet graceful even now.
