Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo
From the heart of La Morra, the Bagnasco sisters of Agricola Brandini craft Nebbiolo with authenticity and precision. The “R56” is their dedicated cru expression — named for the yield cap of 56 quintals and sourced from vines surrounding the cellar, steeped in sand-clay soils and elevated exposure.
Fermented in stainless steel with a significant whole-cluster component, then matured for approximately 24 months in large Slavonian oak casks before bottle aging. The aim is structure and clarity, allowing the terroir to speak rather than heavy oak intervention.
Aromas of wild cherry, rose petal, and dried herbs rise from the glass, followed by subtle spice and crushed stone. On the palate: red fruit layers with fine tannins and bright acidity, carried by minerality and a lingering savory finish. Elegant yet assured, this Barolo offers early charm and serious ageing potential.
