Made from vineyards owned by partners Simon & Simon (hence "double S"), partners and local residents of the Coachella Valley, comes this fabulous example of fabulous Argentine winemaking.
The Uco Valley is about an hour's drive south of the city of Mendoza, tucked up in the foothills of the Andes. Although the days are hot, the higher elevation of the valley gives cooler nights, meaning the grapes maintain acidity, leading to a classically full-bodied Malbec but perfectly balanced with acidity with no jaminess.
Drink this beauty with grilled meats and lashings of chimichurri... Yum!
