Grapes: 100% Chardonnay

Domaine Genot-Boulanger, now led by Guillaume and Aude Lavollée, is one of Meursault’s quietly confident estates. Their style leans toward purity over opulence — allowing vineyard character to lead, rather than heavy oak or excess richness. Clos du Cromin is a hallmark parcel for the domaine, known for combining Meursault’s signature breadth with a firmer, more mineral backbone.

The fruit is gently pressed and fermented with native yeasts, followed by aging in French oak barrels with a measured proportion of new wood. Time on fine lees builds texture and depth, while careful élevage preserves freshness and tension. The result is layered but controlled — generous without tipping into excess.

This is classic yet poised Meursault. Aromas of ripe pear, white peach, and lemon curd are framed by toasted almond and subtle spice. The palate is broad yet focused — orchard fruit and citrus layered over a chalky mineral core. There is creaminess through the mid-palate, but a lifted acidity carries the finish long and clean.
