Winemaker Eva Fricke has quietly emerged as one of Rheingau’s most compelling voices. Her Blanc de Noir 2020 channels the vitality of the region’s cool slopes and chalky soils through a sparkling wine that speaks in whispers of elegance and precision. The result is a Blanc de Noir stripped of artifice — bright, textural and deeply expressive.

Fermented and matured with minimal intervention, this wine spends around 38 months on the lees with zero dosage, allowing the pure fruit and sense of place to shine. The craft is understated but exacting — whole-cluster pressing, native yeast fermentation and no compromise on clarity.

Pouring the glass reveals aromas of raspberry, lemon pith and a fine suggestion of wet stone. On the palate, it’s lean yet layered — light red-berry fruit meets chalky minerality, with bubbles that dance and a finish that lingers in clean, crisp salt-air tones. A sparkling wine that bridges precision and pleasure, equally suited to a refined lunch or a slow evening of contemplation.
