Grgich Hills has long treated Zinfandel with the same respect it gives Cabernet — as a variety capable of depth, structure, and grace. The 2020 vintage is proof of that philosophy: ripe, vibrant fruit shaped by careful farming and a steady hand in the cellar.

Fermented with native yeasts and aged in French oak barrels, this wine shows Grgich’s hallmark balance between richness and poise. The nose opens with blackberry, raspberry, and black pepper, layered with hints of clove, licorice, and cedar. On the palate, the fruit is plush yet lifted — dark berry and spice supported by fine-grained tannins and lively acidity. The finish is long and harmonious, leaving a subtle echo of dried herbs and cocoa.
