Grapes: 100% Chardonnay
At the renowned slopes of Vaudésir, the house of Maison Joseph Drouhin crafts a Grand Cru that bridges power and precision. The 2023 vintage, in particular, comes from a growing season marked by strength and finesse — yielding a wine that is both expressive and grounded in soil.
Fermentation is conducted with native yeasts, and subsequent ageing takes place in fine French oak (including large barrels) to build texture while preserving freshness. The result is Chardonnay of clarity and depth — where vineyard detail meets composure.
Aromas unfold of green apple, lemon zest and white blossoms, layered with hints of oyster shell and flint. On the palate, crisp orchard fruit meets taut acidity and a mineral spine; the finish stretches with chalky persistence and a cool breeze of sea salt. This is Grand Cru Chablis for those who feel nuance, yet seek impact.
