Grapes: 100% Silvaner
Nearly every wine tasted from this estate is incredibly linear, light, incisive and penetrating yet also electric. The wines have a super-fine, glycerine density to them, yet then they are gone, weightless… only the energy reverberating.
This comes from the same hill as Leipold’s Grand Cru “Schilfsandstein” bottling – east facing and cool. Keuper itself is a multi-layered rock formation from the Triassic that lies just above the Muschelkalk layer and is close in age. Kepuer often contains marls but isn’t limited to just that. Spontaneously fermented, stainless steel, 15 year-old vines.

We regret that the only products we can accept for return are faulty goods where we will provide a like-for-like replacement.
- To exchange we require the faulty product to be returned to the store.
- For returns of wines which are corked, please re-seal after tasting and return us the (nearly) full bottle. We cannot exchange if the bottle has been consumed.
- If the same product is not available, we will refund in full to the original form of payment.
- Any returns are at the customer’s expense.
