Santanera takes a particularly thoughtful approach to tequila, looking at agave much the way a winemaker might look at grapes: where it grows, how mature it is, and even the season in which fermentation takes place all matter. The Kosher collection brings that philosophy into a certified range made in Jalisco, with an emphasis on letting the agave itself do the talking.
For the Blanco, mature agave is cooked in traditional ovens before fermentation and double distillation. Nothing is hidden behind barrel aging, making this the clearest expression of the raw material and it’s bottled at 40% ABV with no additives.
Cooked agave leads the way, joined by fresh citrus, pepper, and a little floral lift. There’s a gentle natural sweetness through the middle, balanced by herbal and earthy notes that give it far more personality than your average Blanco. Clean and lively on the finish, it’s absolutely good enough to sip neat, but makes a killer Margarita or Paloma too.
