Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir
Oak and rosé? Rarely do these two come together, as most rosés are bright, clean, and not meant to be aged. However Talisman winemakers Scott and Marta Rich, two of our favorites, wanted to explore what a quick stint in oak would result in...
Twenty days fermenting in neutral oak adds structure and body to what is usually a very light and crisp wine, giving a touch of body and complexity and making this an exceptionally food-friendly (and delicious) wine. Vanilla and tea notes round out the smooth, light red berry flavors. Complex, deep and oh so delicious, this is a rosé to savor!
Pair it with stronger proteins like turkey or lamb. The complexity and tannins match wonderfully with strong flavors.
