Dreamed up by three friends in Melbourne and made in Jalisco, Tropa brings a decidedly creative streak to traditional tequila. The spirit itself is only part of the story: each sculptural ceramic bottle is individually finished, making every one slightly different; tequila designed to look as good on the table as it tastes in the glass.
Mature agave is slow-cooked before being crushed, fermented and twice distilled. Tropa adds an unusual twist during distillation with functional mushrooms, before resting the tequila for three months in American oak to create its Reposado. The result is a style that keeps agave at its core while adding warmth and texture from the barrel.
Rounded and expressive, it shows roasted agave, vanilla and hazelnut alongside cinnamon, caramel and toasted oak. The palate is smooth and warming, with enough spice to keep the richer notes in check. Best sipped neat or over a large cube — and definitely a bottle you’ll want to leave out on the bar.

- To exchange we require the faulty product to be returned to the store.
- For returns of wines which are corked, please re-seal after tasting and return us the (nearly) full bottle. We cannot exchange if the bottle has been consumed.
- If the same product is not available, we will refund in full to the original form of payment.
